His Holiness Eze K.O.K Onyioha, supreme Spiritual teacher of Chiism to me “Never run away from your humanity, The world can see it anyway.
When we go about trying to embrace who we are as African spiritual beings, we are ridiculed and told to conform, as if Chineke had nothing to do with our creation, and the wonderful vessels of light that we are. We struggle in any given manner to blunt the emotional strain, and burden of concealing our zeal to be intellectual thinkers. None really plans this but in truth it is the process of learning about who we are and the glaring faults that humanity have sown rigidly to its emotional garments that we begin to see ourselves as unique, and as such worth preserving, presenting and accepting. The sad reality is that many of us buy into the marginalization of our existence because we have never been told that we are beautiful and worthy of a second look. We forbid ourselves the luxury of embracing our humaneness in the same manner that other children of Chineke do. Consequently, we swallow the bitter pill that to know the world, we must hide from ourselves.
The door of the closet has been open for us to step into the light and embrace our presence. The blackmail that has held us in the closet has been paid with lives and sweat, and can only be repeated if we continue to pay the ransom through our rejection of or true selves. The days of believing that we are not smart enough, good enough and wealthy enough is rejected.
~~Stand quietly facing a sunny window
~~Feel the warm glow of the sun
~~Inhale healthily and be reminded that who you are is good enough…and Chineke concurs!!
