This proverb reminds us that we have to look back before moving forward. There is no need to reinvent the wheel. Much of what we want to do in the future, the Ancestors may have already tried and we can learn from what they did to create a new process. Additionally, we must study our past so that we learn about our Ancestors and their contributions to world history.
